Triple attacks by Yadav difficulties Australia (2nd Lead)

Melbourne: The Aussies were able to post 8 for 179 in 60 overs in the second innings by the end of third day of the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). In the first innings Australia scored 333 and India did 282 runs on the scorecard.

Umesh Yadav is playing a key role in restricting Australian batsmen to low scores. Earlier in the first innings, the pacer provided three jolts and in the second innings, he improved his figure to four. Also, Zaheer Khan was able to strike four batsmen in the first innings but he was unable to open his account on the third day.

Australia received early blows as Yadav and Ishant helped Aussies kneel as Australia showed 4 for 63 on scoreboard. Later Ponting and Hussey helped Australia back into the game as they posted their 50s. M Hussey and JL Pattinson are alive on the crease with a score of 69* and 3*. Kangaroos lead with 230 runs and 2 wickets in hand.
