Hindi movie Ladies vs Ricky Bahl has finally hit the dust. Well at least as far as its comparison with The Dirty Picture is concerned, Ladies vs Rickey Bahl has fizzled out, while The Dirty Picture seems to be sizzling and will keep on doing so for some time.
According to sources, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl has not only earned the tag of being a copy cat of Band Baaja Baaraat, it has also failed to make any noise at the box office. With just Rs 16.75 crore (all-India net collections) to boast about, over its first weekend at the box-office, it has fallen flat into the “below average” slot.
On the other hand, the Vidya Balan starrer The Dirty Picture is doing very well at the box-office. The film has already collected Rs 52.5 crore in its first week, and easily adding another Rs 10.6 crore over its second weekend at the box-office.
As is evident from the films first 10-day total collection of Rs. 63.1 crore (all-India net), The Dirty Picture has not only beaten Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in India only, but globally as well.
Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’s total collection from the five international markets [U.K., U.S.A., Australia, New Zealand and Fiji] is a measly Rs 2.15 cr only. While The Dirty Picture is setting even the international markets on fire.
